9 Moving Photos Of A "March Of Brides" Oct 18th 2012, 14:22 Every year, women dressed as brides march in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to protest against domestic violence. The yearly "March of Brides," which this year took place Oct. 17, mourns the death of a Dominican-American woman named Gladys Ricart, who was shot in 1999 by an ex on her wedding day to another man.
