2 Dead After Shooting At The Empire State Building Aug 24th 2012, 15:05 UPDATED. A gunman opened fire this morning outside the Empire State Building in New York City. At least ten are wounded and two are dead, including the shooter. The shooting is not related to terrorism, WNBC TV reports. It appears that the gunman was a man who just lost his job.
